For warranty issues, this information may help you when talking with your dealer. Unless noted, these TSB's are not factory recalls only technical data related to your vehicle. The information listed is only the TSB number, date and general description of the bulletin. For more information, you should contact your dealer or service technician. Recalls: 04 Dodge and Freightliner 2500 and 3500 Sprinters: Recall: EGR Valve Replacement - Customer Satisfaction Notification D44 EGR Valve - Condition: The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve on about 9,400 vehicles may malfunction. This could cause limited engine output and vehicle speed as well as illumination of the Malfunction Light Indicator (MIL). Recall: Roof Panel Foam Insert Installation - Occupant Protection in Interior Impact - Recall Number D12 Date: March 2004 All Sprinters: Recall NHTSA 04V600000: Tire Valve Defect - Date: 12/16/04 - Component: Tire Valves Summary: On certain trucks equipped with a tire valve, TR600, on 16" tires, the valve can develop cracks within the rubber part or between the metal part and the rubber part of the valve stem.
02-03 Dodge 2500 and 3500 Sprinters: A/T Flex Plate Replacement Precaution - TSB Number: 09-008-04 REV.A Date: 5/18/04 A/T Driveline - Ringing Sound Upon Gear Engagement - TSB Number: 03-002-04 Date: 5/4/04 Symptom/Condition: A ringing, snapping or popping sound may be heard coming from the drive line when the transmission is shifted from forward to reverse or reverse to forward. The sound may also occur when the brakes are released after shifting into or out of Drive or Reverse. A/C System Sealer Usage Prohibition - TSB Number: 24-003-03 Date: 5/23/03 Condition: The use of A/C system sealers may result in damage to A/C refrigerant recovery/evacuation/recharging equipment and or A/C system components. New! A/T - Chattering Sounds/Shift Concerns - TSB Number: 21-007-05 Date: 3/9/05 Symptom/Condition: Chatter like sounds or shutter may be related to oil level or oil quality. Shifting concerns may be caused by a fault in the Transmission Control Module (TCM) (Code P2502). New! DOT 4 Brake Fluid Change Interval Update - Date: 1/05 Subject: Customer Satisfaction Notification D56 - Maintenance Logbook Addendum - The Maintenance Logbook in about 2,700 of the above vehicles does not contain the recommended "DOT 4" brake fluid change interval for commercial applications.
04 Dodge 2500 and 3500 Sprinters: A/T Driveline - Ringing Sound Upon Gear Engagement - TSB Number: 03-002-04 Date: 5/4/04 Symptom/Condition: A ringing, snapping or popping sound may be heard coming from the drive line when the transmission is shifted from forward to reverse or reverse to forward. The sound may also occur when the brakes are released after shifting into or out of Drive or Reverse. Diesel Fuel System-No Start/Long Crank/Low Power - TSB Number: 14-002-04 REV.A Date: 9/28/04 and 11/1/04 Symptoms: Engine cranks but does not start, Engine has a long crank time (more than 3 seconds after the glow plug lamp in the instrument cluster is off and the ambient temperature is above 50°F), Engine may have poor performance or lack of power while driving. New! A/T - NAG1 Fluid Weepage - TSB Number: 21-002-05 Date: 1/14/05 Symptom/Condition: Transmission fluid may be wicking in the right front corner of the transmission oil pan area. New! A/T - Chattering Sounds/Shift Concerns - TSB Number: 21-007-05 Date: 3/9/05 Symptom/Condition: Chatter like sounds or shutter may be related to oil level or oil quality. Shifting concerns may be caused by a fault in the Transmission Control Module (TCM) (Code P2502).
05 Dodge 2500 and 3500 Sprinters: New! A/T - NAG1 Fluid Weepage - TSB Number: 21-002-05 Date: 1/14/05 Symptom/Condition: Transmission fluid may be wicking in the right front corner of the transmission oil pan area. New!
