On Wednesday May 17th 2000, John Bendit, owner of Upscale Automotive Inc., was presented with the U.S. Small Business Administration 2000 Small Business Person of the Year Award for the State of Oregon. The presentation took place at the annual SBA awards dinner at the Benson Hotel in Portland.
The award is given based on business growth, staying power within an industry, leadership, integrity and community involvement. Mr. Bendit served as the President of the Tualatin Chamber of Commerce in 1999, currently serves on the steering committees for the Tualatin Resource Center and the Tualatin Chamber’s Transportation Management Association. He is also active with the Tualatin Chamber’s Leadership Tualatin program and several School to Career programs.
This is one of five similar awards Mr. Bendit and his
company have received over the last four years. Known for its customer service
and quality of workmanship, Upscale Automotive is located in Tualatin Oregon and
is a leader in the Automotive Service and Repair Industry since 1983.
