Koni shocks and struts are the first step in up-grading your Sprinter's suspension. They make a significant handling difference with loads up to 4000 pounds. Even if you are using some type of additional rear suspension product, the Konis will give you added performance and increase handling capabilities. They are an excellent up-grade for the passenger vans where a spring assist kit may not be appropriate.
The Koni hydraulic shock and strut is a direct fit replacement for the factory part. The adjusting feature of the shock or strut controls the rebound portion of the shock or strut action. Changing the adjustment once the rear shocks are on the vehicle is relatively easy. However, the front struts do require some disassembly to make additional adjustments. These Koni products will not alter or disable any factory safety features such as the ALB or anti-skid systems and will not void the factory warranty.
We strongly recommended that a professional technician install your Koni shocks and struts. However, if you have the ability and are equipped with the proper tools you can do it yourself in 2-3 hours. No front end alignment is required after strut installation. It is also recommended that you do not exceed the manufacturer’s GVW and that tires with E load range are used. Koni offers a 300,000 mile part warranty.
